Problems with F1GP, please read...

I'm having some strange problems with F1GP on my new computer...
The graphics get all messed up, trees start blinking at first, AI cars
make small jumps to the side and back, and eventually the computer
locks up or remains in a state where it seems nothing is erased from the
screen, only more things put there. I've tried several solutions so far,
but nothing has helped. I've tried lowering my memory timings, checking
memory and video memory for errors, disabling sound card, playing
without any apps ( gpperf, gplap etc )... If anything, a really clean
setup with nothing extra makes the problems appear much faster, while
playing via modem or direct link with a friend seems to keep them away for
a while longer, sometimes through a whole race. My friend has an
identical computer, the only exception being a Diamond 1MB DRAM 864
instead of my Ark-Logic 2000PV. He has no problems whatsoever. Also,
F1GP is the only game I have any kinds of trouble with, and they
just seem to get worse every time I play it. I've tried installing
the files from my friend's computer to see if mine were screwed up,
but that didn't help either. Has anyone experienced similar problems ?
It seems pretty much like a video or memory error, but then I should
have lockups or messed up screens running other programs too ? Or is
perhaps F1GP the only game optimized enough to bring out these errors :) ?
One thing I forgot to mention, these problems appeared gradually, the
first times I played F1GP on this computer I noticed nothing extraordinary.
If you have any ideas as to what the problem is, please mail me or
respond in this newsgroup.

With thanks for your trouble,

Try switching the video-card with your friend for a week or so..

If you don't get the problem, and your friend does, you must
change the video-card with your computer-store.

> With thanks for your trouble,

Hmm, both systems the same. Have you tried exactly the same boot up as
your friends computer?? Also make sure any drivers etc. you are loading
up are exactly the same version as his.

I also assume that you are using ver. 1.5, or later, of the game.

If your friend is willing try putting his graphics card in you computer
and yours in his. If your problems cease, and his system starts to have
simalar problems to what yours did the problem is almost certainly the
graphics card.

If this is the case you have two options, buy a new graphics card or
wait for F1GP2 to come out. However you might be waiting a long time.
