FiRS - More help needed?

by Tim Deatherag » Sun, 21 Jun 1998 04:00:00

Hey F1RS gurus !

I have had F1RS several days and have run into several items that I have
questions
about:

            1. Is there anyway that I can assume my own persona with my own
name
and statistics. ( e.g. I don't want to race as Michael
Schumacher even though
I wish I could have his talent !)

            2. Does the sim keep track of all of the "player" statistics?

            3. When driving Monaco,  I enter the tunnel and I see some of
the tunnel
lights and then it goes totally dark ! Therefore, I drive
through the dark
until  I "see  the light at the end of the Tunnel !"  Is
this normal ?

Thanks as always Tim

Yes! GO to http://www.f1racingsim.com (which you apparently have
not done yet) and get the F1RSRAYS editor. Just click in the window
of the driver you want to replace and type your name in his place,
then EXPPORT to the game. I changed mine several weeks ago,
it works great.

To be honset I'm not sure. I have an excel spreadsheet where I
keep my best lap times and 25% race times, so I don't worry about
it.

For me it isn't. My 3dfx gamma settings are 1.2 and my monitor
could be set brighter than yours. I can definately see the walls.
