Based on the demo.. I'd say CMR2, if for no other reason then the fact
that I had a lot of steering wheel setup probelm with my LWFF, and I
don't care for the co-driver voice in Pro Rally 2001.

The graphics are about equal, the car physics and force feedback seem
better in CMR2, at least in the demo...

Anyone with the full game of each that can provide feedback?

Rally Championship 2000 :)

But, if it has to be either CMRII or PR2001, choose CMRII.

CMR2 is a better bet.....longer term support more likely as well.

While on this subject.....do any of you guys know how to take the CMR2
*demo* out of "automatic" shifting and into manual shifting.  I can't seem
to locate this item in the standard UI screens....so wonder if it is a
"tweak" or "hack" in an ini file or something?  Thanks in advance for your
information.......I hate driving with someone else's shifting points!

Regards,

Tom

which is better CM2 or Pro Rally 2001?

Quick query - I loved the demo to Rally Championship 2000 and then went and
bought the full version but the game had changed a lot - the cars seemed
much less powerful and it seemed too easy and boring - so much so that I
took it back to the shop and got a refund.

Does anyone know if the final game can be tweeked to work like the demo
version?  Thanks in advance for any info.

Graeme Mitchell.

Many thanx for all your advice. I went for CM2 in the end- it's been a
big hit over Xmas. I hope you all enjoyed the festive season and wish
you the best for 2001.

I have problems with the LWFF too. How do I solve the problems? My
problem is: setting up is good. But in the game I have to keep on
pressing the shifting paddle on the wheel so I get in 4 gear and stay
there. Even in automatic transmission mode!.

I had big problems with the MSFF - I had to turn off the option "Force RC
Wheel" (or something like that).  I'm not sure what it does, but it causes the
weird gear problem you mentioned.  In addition, you can't have a split axis
throttle/brake, so it seems.  Otherwise, the brakes are 'on' all the time.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Steve.
