Hi all,

I have seen several posts wanting Papyrus to create graphical hands and a
steering wheel.  I for one would think that would take away from the realism
of the game, since many people invest in a wheel and pedal system.  Who wants
to be driving with two wheels and 4 hands?!?!?  If this IS implemented, it
better be an option, I don't see the thrill of driving a car with a joystick
anyways.  Just my .02.

Oh yeah!!!  I agree!  Besides, if you look at a real Winston Cup Car, the
wheel is chucked right up in your chest so you can use lotsa shoulder
strength on it.
NO!  I like My hands and My wheel just fine. (unless of course the hands
had:

                E    L             W    O    O    D

enscribed on the knuckles!)   ;>

I also DO NOT want to see a steering wheel on the screen with or without
hands on any future driving/racing sims.

As best as I can remember, the Indy 500 sim was the first driving sim that
did not have a steering wheel on the screen.  Why?  Becasue it didn't need
one.  In other sims the wheel is there to show you where your wheels
are pointed.  With modern day "good" simulations you get that information
by the way the car is moving.  This is true of all the Papyrus products.
I also feel that GP1 didn't need that steering wheel graphic.  You could
tell what was going on without it.

One other point is that having a wheel on the screen is on more
graphic that will need to be updated.  That will take away from the
frame rate without adding any value to the driving experience.

Sorry for butting in but I feel strongly about this issue.

I don,t agree with no steering whell and/or hands as I don,t
consider my steering and pedals controls pluged into the PC as
a intricate part of the my car on screen.... just a decent
means of controlling it... I want as much detail on screen as
possible.
Your idea for making it an option is best, that way we are all
happy.

I think that the suggestion of "Optional" for various components, will
always be the best answer.  After all, you can't make ONE feature suit
everybody's taste.
