Over 200 can easily be achieved if you remove the restictor plate for the
car.  This is done in the track file.  You change the code from a 1 to a 0
and have som unrestricted fun.

: no, its been known for 4 years now, ever since Nascar Racing (1) came
: out. Its the exact same mod.
: what i'd like to know is if there is a way to make the tires last longer
: somewhere in the code.

Agreed on the tire thing; racing on the fastest line will wear them down
to
nubs by the 30th lap.  Non-restrictor plate racing is much more fun
than with the damned things. BTW the fastest line I have found is to lift off
the
gas, dive down to the bottom, apply throttle again, drift back up going into
2/4,
and then dive down again and pick up speed coming into the straights.  I saw
Richard Petty driving this exact same line c. '82 in a highlight show last
fall...
If I run with low fuel during a test session I can get it over 210 (has anyone

broken Elliot's qualifying record of 212?).
