Hi folks!
After months of GPL I finally made it out into the fresh air yesterday and
jumped right back into my car, a Ford Mondeo Station. I had enormous
difficulties engaging the gears, instead, when tapping the right
shift-paddle, my window got all wet and grafix were extremely unsharp all of
the sudden. So I tried the left one, but only some strange lights went on.
Luckily, I live on top of a big hill, so I let her roll.
Any hints?
Also I would like to reduce ride-height from towering 14"......any idea
where I can download the Ford-patch?
cya all and keep smiling!
Markus

Count yourself lucky - after months of GPL with a Nascar Formula Pro (right
hand gear shift) - you should see my bruised right hand as I go for the gear
lever & smack the door of my right hand drive Brit car!

Its also embarrasing having to restart at the lights cos there is this weird
third pedal on the left I haven;t worked out yet!

Cheers

Hell, I keep changing to 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and going down through the box it's 1st,
1st, 1st. No reverse.
Think I need to check the stick switch in my car. Also, I may have to lower the
steering sensitivity, as my new
1380 engine makes the car squirm all over the place. Is there a 1.1 patch for a
Mini?

BTW, the force feedback is great, I don't need a patch for that!

There's this new patch of Tarmac that's nice and slippy on the way out of my
home town of Tetbury. In my 1.0 Version Citroen BX, I've been sliding all
over it, listnening to the tyres squaling, then looking down at the dash to
see what gear I'm in and what the Frame Rate is

Terrified myself today

Forgot I was driving my version 1.1 (with FF) 2.9 XR4x4 sierra rather than
V1.0 GPL and commited to a corner reminicent of the 3rd right hander that
comes after the flat out left at the glen.

My Commitment to the corner was at GPL levels .... several heavy flicks of
opp lock before the exit of the corner. At the exit I suddenly realised that
I was running Realistic damage with no shift - R .... or even the ability to
restart the game.

This REALLY scared me for a moment..... but then I realised this is what I
live for :)  I certainly have never taken that corner so fast before :)

Lets hope the version 1.2 patch for my sierra doesn't come out too soon!  I
have heard rumours that 1.2 will feature new car graphics with a real lamp
post in the passenger door feel to it.
