HEY, F1 FANS...!

Hey, All Formula 1 Fans, Read This!

Raise your hand if you bought Grand Prix 2.  Go ahead....  Now put your
hand down if you're mostly satisfied with the game.  Now, all you with
your hands still up, listen to me.

There are quite a few Formula 1 simulations being released this year.
Probably the three most talked about are Power F1 (????), Starting Grid
(Visiware), and Grand Prix (Papyrus).  What have you all heard about
Power F1?  C'mon, don't be shy.  Starting Grid, anyone?  How about Grand
Prix, the 1960s F1 sim?

Truth be told, we all need to pool our resources, rumors, and opinions,
and talk about which one of these would be the ideal Formula 1
simulation of 1997.  So we don't make the same mistake twice, wasting
money on a game that will not be worked on AFTER its release, and that
the producers suddenly dissappear.

So I want rants and raves, do's and don't's, have's and have-not's.
Let's show MicroProse/Spectrum HoloByte how it's done, and show 'em
who's boss.

Politely,
John Wilson :|:

I'm mostly satisfied with GP2, but I'll follow this thread
anyway.  There is plenty of room for improvement.

I like gossip and rumor about racing sims as much as the next
person.  Perhaps everyone who participates should take a look at
the developers' home pages first.

From Sim Racing News - home pages:
Starting Grid by Visiware - http://www.visiware.com/
   Psygnosis                 - http://www.psygnosis.com/
   Papyrus                   - http://www.sierra.com/papyrus/

I'm not suggesting that this is any more that advertising and
BS, but there are some nice screen shots and promises.
