It happened to me a few times, too.

Sadly enough, I've had this happen, too.  On the bright side, it doesn't
seem to happen as often as in N2 (only 3 times so far), and on only 1
occasion did it cause a wreck.  That was at Dover.
At Tally I drove *STRAIGHT THROUGH* one of the field filler cars, from the
right rear to the left front..... never made "contact".  I wasn't sure what
to think of that at first.
And then at Texas I went part way into Martin's bumper, but carefully eased
up and we "disconnected".

Has anybody else experienced the "OLD" problem (from N2) of driving
"through" cars, and getting "Locked up" with another car? I seem to be
still getting this, and cant believe it is still happening in N3...

If it is just me, let me know how I can fix it, Please!

I'm suprised to hear Nascar2 did the same thing.  I actually thought that
was their new alternative to the way GPL handles two cars on top of
eachother.  GPL interperets that situation as a huge collision and sends one
or both cars flying into the air as a wheel-less gyrating fireball.  I like
the way Nascar3 handles it better, if that's what's really going on.

Although, I was playing online tonight and there was a silly low-velocity
pileup behind the pacecar.  I was just sitting there perfectly still behind
them, waiting for it to clear up, and the pileup gradually crawled backwards
and sucked me into it!  Cars were warping and bouncing on top of eachother
everywhere.  It was pretty funny, but I bet it will just be annoying the 4th
or 5th time it happens.

Yup!  Papyrus has a problew with their collision detection routine.  It
seems that.. to make the cars perform better.. they had to take away
something else.. now, for the first time, you can go completely through cars
untouched.  I saw Jeff Gordon coming down sideways... I dropped low to avoid
him but went right through his front seat.  I wasn't even scratched.
I truly believe that Papyrus may end up out on the street due to Sierra's
"reorganization"... so rather than take the chance that we would never see a
Nascar 3, Papyrus released not prevent what has happened to such great games
as Babylon 5 space simulator and Navy Seals.

To put it simply... Sierra's upper managment stinks of rotten eggs.   I'll
buy Sierra for 2 dollars and I'll make it into a better company than
Electronic Arts!!!
Then we'll be seeing the ULTIMATE NASCAR SIMULATOR!!!   Everything from
flying trash at Daytona (those people in Florida must have flippers for
fingers)
to an unexpected rain shower in C***te that delays the race.
