I am having a problem with GPL.
I just installed this sim about a week ago, and have been having a
problem with the program just stopping and returning to windows after
about 5 minutes like nothing ever happened.
Anybody else ever have this problem?

I keep having this same problem. I was advised by the good folk of RAS that
it was a cooling problem, that I should either fit a fan on my graphics card
or get a good 3DFX card to lessen the load on my existing card. I haven't
done either yet, but I've found recently it happens less often. Perhaps the
graphics card "gets used to it".

What would help us to help you would be to tell us what your computer
is made of. If your computer isn't strong enough to run GPL.... that
will do what you describe. But, there are other possibilities too. It
all depends on what you have as a computer and what's inside it.

Colin I have same problem - especially at Monaco's
Station Hairpin - I have 400Mhz - 64MB - Ati Rage Pro (4MB)
Also get crashed out of Spa and Ring, but almost never at
Zandvoort, Kyalami, Glen, Silverstone ... I am also using
a MS Sidewinder Freestyle Pro Game Pad "lashed" to an old DOS wheel -
sounds crazy but it works. Please let me know if you get booted out
at "Station" - thanks.

The system is a Gateway 450 mhz Pentium II with a
16 mb SDRAM AGP Graphics accelerator.
Also has Direct X 6.0... I don't know if that has anything to do with it
or not.
Any Ideas?

I had this problem and looked at the FAQ on the Sierra site. They advise
to load the Direct X drivers again off the CD. Look in the Directx
directopry and run the dxsetup.exe file.Fixed the problem for me. Good
luck.
