I like to think I'm a pretty clean online racer.  Hell, if I know i'm slower
then someone I'll give some extra room, even if were fighting for position.
When I'm off the pace I give PLENTY of room for the faster cars.

Tonight, night race at Daytona.  I'm in the top 10.  Drafting with three
other cars.  I'm*** back while these two mix it up.  They touch going
into 1 and spin each other out.  I drive through.  Guess who gets ejected?
Yeppers.  Me!

Oh, and another thing.  Does everyone HAVE to do burnouts at the start of
the race while in formation?  All it does is accordian the pack.  Then, some
lamer in the back comes racing up to catch the field and can't slow in time.
Next thing you know, ten car pile up before the green has even fallen.

Okay, I'm better now.

Yes, I think there is a rule mandating this at starts (this rule was
also present in N4 and GPL, altho with the latter it tended to be
unintentional).

There is also a rule that at tracks with low to moderate grip, half
the field must spin their wheels and lose control when the green flag
flies and wipe out the 1/2 of the field that wasn't taken out on the
pace lap.  An addendum to this rule is the "rearend the cars on the
front row" rule in effect at Watkins Glen, Sears Pt, and Bristol.

Doncha just hate when that happens?  I frequently qualify at/near the
front at Sears and Watkins Glen, and I almost ALWAYS get punted at turn
one because some moron a few rows back mixes stupidity and common sense
with a severe lack of depth perception, and plows through the field,
taking out the cars in the first three rows.

Pickup racing sucks, has always sucked, and will continue to suck.

This link is about bad online racing behaviour in GPL (Jimmy Bo's GPL
Guide to Unforgivably Bad Driving) but most applies to N2K too.
