Ahhhh, I feel better now.

My fresh win2k install is working fine.  In the process of restoring
my system, I went searching for a free FTP client that worked.  I
highly recommend Filezilla. It's an open-source project available on
SourceForge.

Anyway, NR2K3 runs fine, my new Game Commander software works
(although it takes a bit for it to type text in chat). I can clear
black flags without any typing at all. :)

Windows already comes with the best free FTP client.  It's called
"ftp", very nice. =)
