"New track records have become an
annual event at Nazareth Speedway but that's not likely to occur
this year.
CART is requiring smaller element wings for this year's race
which give the cars less downforce and more instability resulting
in lower speeds on the tight ovals at Nazareth.
"We are down nearly 65 percent in the downforce of our cars in
the corners," said driver Bryan Herta. "We are much slower at
the apex but actually faster down the straights because of the
reduced drag in the cars."
Herta said "driving under new rules is like playing a video game.
You can see everything around you but you almost can't feel the
car underneath you."
See! We can do it too, right??
