TOCA2 Demo a piece of crap!

What's up with the TOCA2 demo? I've downloaded it twice and still I
get a stupid "Setup is unable to find installation languages in
.\SETUP.LID file. Error 105." I d/led from two different places so it
sure isn't the file that's broke.

Sorry if I sound pissed off but this is the third major demo that
doesn't work at all I've downloaded recently.

I've loaded it up off a cover CD from a few weeks ago, and it ran fine. Oh,
and by they way...TOCA 3 is already being made. I attended a lecture by
three guys from Codemasters on Tuesday.  Quite an eye-opening 1 1/2 hours.

Third download finally worked, but I still am wondering how to make it
playable with my TM Sprint. It feels way too arcade and the car is all
over the track in curves, it's like the speed is accelerated to 200
mph when I enter the curve and the turn radius is way too steep.

So what setting do you recommend for a general wheel?

Maybe they screwed up on the language settings in the demo? Try setting
your system to country setting US, and reinstall the demo again.

Actually I'm thinking about ordering a US version of Win98, as this
voluntary censorship thing is getting out of hand. At some point they
will not rely on checking the country settings but something that
cannot be changed by the user...check the link below if you speak German.

Don't start complaining about TOCA 2's Arcadiness.

Having spoken to one of the artists on TOCA 2, they tried to make the best
game possible. They never inteded to make a Simulator. It's a game. Not an
Arcade, not a Sim...just a damned good game.

Thats the way Toca 2 drives, sorry. Try SCGT instead, way closer to GPL.

Who are you responding to, Toni or me? OTOH, neither he nor me were saying
anything about TOCA2 being an arcade game, or did you playback our postings
backwards and something evil appeared?

Or maybe you just screwed up while responding...
