From RSC.
--------------------------

Here is a quick update on rFactor.
The art team is finalizing the tracks and vehicles now, there will be six
vehicle styles plus classes and upgrades for nearly all of them.
There are five track locations, with most having separate circuits inside of
them.
We are applying polish to some rough edges, including the UI, HUD and
controller issues.
There are a few last minute MP issues that we want to take care of.
The career mode is in and being fine-tuned.
The text is in the process of being set up for language conversion.

Right now ISI has 7 full time people and 2 other active projects to help pay
the bills, so it's pretty busy around here. This has certainly taken us
longer than we had planned and although we are enjoying building it, we are
working hard to share it with others very shortly.

Wow, astonishing! A software developer that provided "intel" to its
users regarding its upcoming project. What a concept! And they didn't
even need to sue anyone.

> Errr HUD?

Covers anything put on the screen that isn't part of the actual
car***pit I guess. You know, frame rate display, possibly a mappy
wossit like in LFS, all that kind of stuff. I suppose even the data
put onscreen in FPS games (ammo left etc.) could be called a HUD.

I loved the car position line in Sports Car GT.  The one in rFactor is
similar if I recall correctly.
