What? You thought I'd blab the winner?
Before the race was even done???
Why to do that I'd have to be a Nascar Official....

This year there was a different actors and I thought they were kind of

The one where the guy is stopped for speeding and tries to bribe the cop to
write the ticket for 190mph. :-)
Did everyone miss that one?

Glenn H. Curtiss rode a V8 powered motorcycle
to a 136.30 mph record in the measured mile.

Welcome to NBC racing coverage...at least they canceled the commerical that
was starting just as the "big one" started yesterday. That's better than NBC
of old. Forget about anything good in the pit coverage. We saw DEJ get some
work, and a couple shots of crowded yellow flag pits, but that was about it.
I think Fox does a better job of covering all the 'players' pit stops as
they happen, timing on all of them, pit reporters in the pits of the top 3
or 4 giving you details. I guess NBC thinks that we're just spectators that
don't understand how intregal pit stops and strategy are in the sport.
Before the package: ESPN, CBS, TNN, TNT
After package: FOX, NBC, FX, TNT
Just like when X industry says deregulation is good for the consumer,
raise the red flag when Nascar says something's good for the fan.

That one was definetly hilarious.
I saw the DEJ CD skipping and designated driver commercials last weekend at
the shootout, so while new, yesterday was not the first run.
The best tie-in was the Thorogood song "Brown to the bone" in conjunction
with the sticker on DJ's dash yesterday. I thought that was a pretty funny
deal too.
