I built my own pedal set for use with the Logitech Momo. When I put
the pots from the Momo into my freshly minted pedals, I only got
readings for about 1/3 rotation of the pot, but my new rig has
increased pot travel to about 120 degrees rotation. So the rest was
all dead. Worse, on the brake, I did not have any of the "old" range
in my new range of rotation, so there was no brake movement at all. I
don't know what causes this (ie., whether the Logi pots have only a
short carbon strip or whether it is some other problem -- because the
pots from my old T2 that worked in the LWFF did not work with the
Momo) but here is what solved the problem... I replaced the pots with
100K Radio Shack linear taper pots. They work just fine (and for
purposes of experimentation) cost less than $2.00 US. Now I have full
range of travel on both pedals. I will probably replace these pots
with some high precision (conductive plastic with ball bearings, or
some such) in the near future.
