Nascar1: NEW "Sprint" series on Hawaii

by Robert Huggi » Tue, 09 Sep 1997 04:00:00

Come try-out a new Monday Night "Sprint" series on the Hawaii dial-in
multiplayer server.

Since Sprint is offering FREE long distance for new customers on
Monday nights from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, why not run in a Monday night
league to take advantage of the offer.

The league offers 50% races to add the "pit strategy" aspect over the
pick-up races that are normally run on Hawaii.  (Pick-up races are
limited to 25% and less and therefore do not require a fuel/tire
strategy.)

The league offers the "season points" aspect over the normal pick-up
races that are normally run on Hawaii.  So what if you are no good at
one of the tracks.  How good are you overall?  The "season points"
concept will have you racing at ALL the tracks.

9/8/97  9:00 Eastern  50% Richmond D/Y/P
Series=Sprint
Password=Sprint

Come try-out tonight!  Everyone is welcome.

HCR23 won the first event.  We had 8 racers start.  There was one
caution on lap 1.  There were several lead changes in the lap 100 -
120 interval when the pits were active.

Everyone is welcome to join next week for Loudon.
Same time, same password.

There was another group in a series named NFLSPRINT last night.  I
have no idea who administers this league.  They had 5 racers start a
35% race about the same time we started the sprint 50% race.  Maybe
one of those kind folks would contact me so I can offer to join up
with them next week.
