I was a little surprised, too.  Hido was my buddy back in May,
defending the validity of an accurate baseball sim like High Heat
Baseball (great game, btw) against the cretins who went for the flash
of Triple Play 99 and Microsoft Baseball 3D.

Hido, I know you're a discerning gamer, so I'm curious why you're
throwing in the towel on GPL?  Anyway, the earlier post was
right--don't take a loss, take advantage of Sierra's money-back
guarantee (hey, it'll pay for High Heat Baseball 2000 in a couple
months! <g> ).

Two words: too hard.  I have played many an arcade racer, so I decided to
jump into the world of actual driving sims.  Big mistake.  The learning
curve is HUGE on this one.  To me, it makes the flight sims look like Quake
or something.  I just don't have enough time to put into it.  I bough it at
EB, but the guys there are starting to give me that look because I have
returned quite a few games recently, so I decided to cut my losses and sell
it in the groups.  I got this game pretty cheap and I don't mind passing it
along for a minor loss (i kind of like buying and selling games through the
groups, you get some great deals; of course, i haven't been burned yet).

BUT, the game looks great.  If ya got the horsepower.  And it is damn
realistic.  If racing was all I ever did, I am sure I would love this one.
But with all the new games (NHL, Links, etc) all the old ones that still
need finishing (Unreal, etc), and the fact that I DO have to do other stuff
than play games (work, get married, work some more),  I decided to let this
one go.  I know, it's a tough life for us gamers. ;)
