I've not played the warez version of GP3, but
would be happy to try it as I am across the pond
and won't see the game on store shelves for some
time.  That being said, how can the overly
optimistic fans of Geoff Crammond forgive a mere
update to GP2?  You would spend $50 dollars to
run GP2 in the rain?  That's like spending
$40,000 on a 4-year old BMW Z3 because the
previous owner put new Fittipaldi racing wheels
on it!  Sorry, but my $40,000 is better spent on
the new M Coupe or even a Honda S2000...more bang
for the buck with all the innovations of year
2000 motoring.  The game engine NEEDED a
revision.  You should not be able to shoot for
less than the present benchmark and have people
eager to buy your product.  If GP3 really is
GP2.5, I'll wait for the add-on pack Microprose
will be marketing soon...hmmm, a coincidence?
How much would you be willing to wager that the
update package will provide greater functionality
and ACTUALLY GIVE US TIRE TEMPS!?!?! "GPL,
anything less would simply be a game."  Optimism
sucks.
