I was watching the Le Mans 24hr coverage on Eurosport and they were talking
about
some cars running a few laps to get new footage for an upcoming Michel
Vaillant movie.

I searched all over the net for more info on that movie but came up with
nothing. I was hoping anybody here
has any details or links...

Thanks,
Draxter

Are you talking about that old French racedriver cartoon?

Yes, i always enjoyed those (actually, i still do...)
I'm very curious to know what they have planned,
since those comics spanned about 3 decennia of racing...

Just know that Luc Besson is in charge of the movie, so it will probably be
a big movie.

True.
A film based on the comics is coming up.
They shot some scenes during the real 24hrs with 2 cars which took part in
the real race (including qualifications).
Both finished the race : The Vaillante (N10 / Lola) finished 23rd and the
Leader (N22/ Panoz) came 21st.
I don't know the release date of the film.

AL

PS: I loved this comics when I was a kid (ie in the 70s)
