I just installed Diamond MX300 soundcard and now the Trembling
Arms in GPL are almost gone.  I was expecting best performance
with Direct Input and Monster Sound II gameport driver, but the
joystick driver doesn't seem to make much difference.  Previously
I have used Soundblaster 16, CH Gamecard 3 and Diamond S90,
but the MX300 works best.  It was however very difficult to install.
Do a search in Dejavu News with "MX300 install", if interested.

Jari, I agree with you about MX300 gameport performance. I had a SB16 before
too, and my GPL performance is much better now. Just curious, do you get any
static or pops with the sounds in GPL? I do.

I had a SB16 b4 too and my crappy joystick work even worst with MX300
:(
So i kept the SB16 installed and used it joyport only.
Now i have a digital MS Sidewinder wheel, I can junk my SB16.:)

Yeah, I do too I get static or pops?
And i cant get my own engine sounds in F1RS. I can here all the others
cars.

I get no static, but the sound is different from what it used
to be with Diamond S90.  The pops are more noticeable,
but they do not sound particularly "snappy".  I have tried
only Murasama so far.
