N1: NAS121 Patch & Quirks

Well Duh!
Here I've been running Nascar1 thinking I had the NAS121 patch working.
I twasn't until I tried expoting a car from the paintkit that I noticed
things weren't going according to the readme text which said not only the
decals but the whole car would be exported to the nasc94.pcx file for
external painting. After downloading NAS121 to my nascar file, I typed
<nas121> enter at the c:>nasacar prompt and thought that was it cause a
little thing called naspat sqeaked across the screen. I was wrong.
Upon furthur inspection of the readme text, I typed <naspat> and a whole
lot more screamed across the screen. Have I done it right now of am I
still missing something?
Aloha, Henry

Yes, I think so, the nas121 file was the self extracting .exe file
(that many if not all .exe's on the net are these days..) which simply
extracted and inflated a few files. To apply the patch you then had to
run the naspat.exe, which actually makes the game changes and updates
the version number as the game loads. That's always the best way.. If
you see V1.21 somewhere after typing "nascar" then everything is fine.

Hope that's OK!

Cheers,
Jon Guest :-)
