Bullrun 1000 halfway report:

by Dave Henri » Mon, 18 Nov 2002 10:45:58

The 2002 Bullrun 1000 has finished the first of two days racing with 3
cars still on the lead lap.
Underdog Racing with unknown Bert Knops driving an Alfa 156 on Day 1 holds a
43 second lead over the Pits Performance Team1 Holden of Stu Brown.  Ras's
own Goy Larsen will be taking over the Sunday driving chores  for the Holden
and will be attempting to whittle away at that 43 second gap.
There has been some controversy already as the Dastardly Corvette
contingent seems hell-bent on eliminating anything that resembles a Viper.
Our TEAM SMO 2(Slow Moving Objects) Viper got knocked out of the race on lap
two by a Corvette.
My own Team SMO 1(Slow Moving Objects) Viper is poised for a great
finish...1st day driver DJ Thibodeau has set the other teams up for a severe
case of overconfidence, since he straggled in only 11 laps down.  I'm sure
we can make that up on Sunday.(note to dave: make sure you test the
'lag-buster utility')
Standing third, and getting a HUGE break since they were about to be
lapped is Team Deadlock in another of the afore-mentioned Corvettes.
Christian Prasuhn just crossed the finish line to begin his last lap ahead
of the Race Leader.
Complete standings for Day one are available at:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

The day two racers will begin their 85 lap jaunt around the scenic Bullrun
Raceway Sunday morning.

Not unknown as a GPL-racer. Still holds the WR at Spa IIRC.

What about Michel Kuyntjes, is he a well known name in the ranks of GPL
as well ?

These guys were team mates in Underdog Racing and pulled off some really
fast lap times

Oki :-)

Btw, Martin, I purchased the NR2002 RA program a while back, jolly good
program you have there even if I've just been scratching the surface in
terms of what it can do, good job
