Very few computer games stay full price for long (unless they are "best
sellers"). It's par for the course for game software to get discounted
months after release. The market is over-saturated and this is just
part of the game marking business.

I never got round to sending off for the... whatever it's called... the big manual that was
missing from my 1st copy. I've been toying with the idea of buying another copy just for
that... and because I think GPL deserves the support. Maybe we should all put our
money where our mouths are and try to ensure Hasbro don't see GPL as a bit of a
lame duck?
Ok, daft idea, but there's a serious point in there somewhere.

After all,GPL wasn't even named auto racing sim of the year.

Compared to NFS3 that's pretty low, but I think Sierra will look on a lot of
the development for GPL, i.e. the physics, AI and graphics engine as R&D
costs, and look forward to making big sales on NASCAR and Indy car games.

Me too, but unfortunately EA have just picked up the global licence to F1:-(
One just has to hope it is not exclusive.
