haven't seen the highlights yet. Did you Brits call in the Harriers
again?

We might have to if we meet the U.S.A. in the later stages. They did well the other day
beating Portugal 3-2.
The USA also beat england 1 - 0 in the first World Cup after the 2nd World
war...
Stranger things have happened!
Mind you, the last time England beat Argentina was in 1966 :o)
cheers
John
Off-topic, but true. I have no idea why the rest of my firm
supported Argentina (I'm German ;-), but this was one
fascinating and emotional match. Kudos to Becks for keeping it
cool all through, and the rest of your side for beating the
Argies.
Should you come through to play Germany, you can guess who I'll
be rooting for: England (too bad the scottish did not make it
though).
Good job!

Damn fantastic! Being a true Brit an' all... With Portugal, France and
Argentina looking at increasingly difficult group matches to just get
through to the next phase of the tournament, I think we stand a great chance
of getting to the semis at least. That is if any of our strikers actually
score any goals :-)

It was on at 7:30am here in Ontario. Being an expatriate Brit I made sure I
got up on time.

Didn't you watch those old Davey Crockett tv shows? Surely the schools
in Michigan would have taught about the sucessionist movement that burned in
Texas? If the Mexican's had not pressed the issue and forced Texas to
accept federal help, we might only have 49 states...
