Nascar 1999 - tracks?

by John Courtn » Mon, 30 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi,
I from what I've read NASCAR 1999 has updated tracks for
Atlanta/Sears point.  I was just wondering, did they update Texas and IRP
(I saw on TNN Saturday that they changed to banking to allow more 2 wide
racing, seems to have worked from what I saw on the ASA re-broadcast!)  I
am thinking of adding it to my Christmas list with possibly Viper racing
aswell (it sounds like the ultimate version of that old Top Gear 2 game
for SNES)

Later,
John

Don't know about Irp, but Texas has been changed, and is much easier to
drive.
You can really fly through 3 and 4 now.

I was trying Texas last night for a little while, it is hard to keep that
car low!  The banking transitions at Texas on the GN Expansion Pack suck,
you can smack the wall on the exit of turn 2 so easily!

Are you referring to Nascar 1999 or N2?  As far as I know N99 has no GN Expansion Pack.

I was racing at Texas last night when I had a truck follow me through turns 3
and 4 on the outside.  Then he followed me down the front stretch and didn't
back off going into turn 1.  Texas is much better.

He was saying that N2's GN pack's Texas was treacherous, but it's
better in N99 at Texas.

On Mon, 30 Nov 1998 03:46:19 GMT, Don Burnette amazed and astounded the group with a total
grasp of the conversation, then tripped on the microphone cable just after posting

But did they fix the problem with water seeping up in Turn 1? <g>
