Do you need the CD in the drive to play? If not, you should have the
US version.

If you get the wrong one, nothing will break. It will just tell you you have
the wrong version so go ahead and try both.

Seems the english language export version is the UK version though. At least
that's what I got here in Sweden.

And here in Finland. It says ENGLISH on the CD, it's really hard not to
notice it.

Yeah, but I for one took this to mean "english language" version. ***y silly
to have one british english and one american english version if you ask me.
But of course they had to put that damn "copy protection" that wasn't cracked
for a whole, say, three days on the non-american copies...

To put it short, the idea that there was an "english" and an "american
english" version never occured to me and I guess that goes for our OZ friend
here too.

Ah, but not necessarily. I have the US version, and it was bought from a
big computer-warehouse that normally doesn't sell gray-imports.

No doubt. If they even import seaweed from Bora Bora, I would imagine
a couple of US-GPLs shouldn't be a problem. If it sells, they'll get it
from Mars if necessary.

Have a look at your manual.
If the address on the back refers to the USA, then it is the US version.
If it refers to an address in Britain, then it's the Brit version.
