Texas Track

When I'm at the Texas track (N2)..the car seems to be resting on grass...and
I have to break through a barrier to get to the track...seems odd..I know.
Has anyone else experienced this?..How can it be rectified?  Could someone
send a copy of a good track file?

Thanks,
Bob

Sounds like you are using a hacked Texas track. Are you? If so, go buy
the Track Pack. It has the REAL Texas track...not a hack job of
C***te. It drives totally different than C***te.

Well, he is maybe doing something "legal".   There is a legal version of
Texas on the Internet made by the Robinson Racing guys.  They don't put the
dat file in the program (like the BB&B guys).

All you need is the N1 C***te.dat file.  He probably only has the N2 dat
file, and it makes this when you take the wrong one (puts you in the infield
and stucked).

Where can you get the N1 dat file for C***te? Is it in the demo? I never
d/led the demo because I have a Cyrix chip and the demo didn't run on Cyrix
chips (I think). TP

>Where can you get the N1 dat file for C***te?

Buy Nascar Racing 1

Nope

The Nascar1 demo has only a 3lap qual around Talladega AFAIK.  You can buy
Nascar1 for 5.99$ easily if you make some little search.

Funny story under vvvvvvvvvvvvvv

Some local store where I live still sells Nascar1 for 79.99$ CAN without the
Add-on tracks !  I went to the manager and told him why was it that high,
when just around the block there was a Wal-Mart where I could buy it for
10bucks. He told me "Since the Nascar1 and 2 box looks the same (It was not
the Sierra Original box, but a normal box) , we want to make profit with
Nascar1 at that price if somebody buys the N1, thinking it's Nascar2".  And
I'm not joking !!!!.  I never returned to the store.  Btw for you
Montrealers it's called "CD-Rom Dpot".   Boycott this store please.

Hi,
This is also rampent in atlantic Canada, just a couple of months
ago my local Future Shop was still selling T2 wheels for $199!  (and
it was priced as low as $79 in some places before Christmas!).  While
I was looking around there before Christmas, they didn't even have the
GN Expansion pack, which had been out for about 2 months by then!

Later,
John

Just so there is no misunderstanding here....I do indeed have the BGN
expansion pack. I'm not sure why my Texas track does this...except maybe its
some of the updates I've found on the net and I haven't installed them
correctly. My tracks and game however are legal.

Legal or not, why would someone want to drive C***te/Texas instead of
the one that Papy put out? It drives totally different.

And it's not like the TPack cost a million dollars....

Same deal here in Australia at a place called*** Smith Electronics.
The same place charges $40 to install a new cpu and $70 for the
installation of a CD Rom. I queried them about it and they assure me
that lining the pins up on the cpu is a very tricky business :)))

What updates have you done to the track?

Make sure that you are not trying to put these char/texas updates on your
Texas files. They will not work together as the tracks are different.

Have you tried copying the files from the CD to your hard drive? (just
the texas folder)

Sounds like you have messed up your texas.txt file in the TRACKS/TEXAS
directory.  Copy the original from the CD into this directory.  Then
make sure you clear the Read-Only attributes/properties from this file
once you copy it.
