OT: CMR 3 analog sticks (PS2) can you rewire left/right?

being used to GT3 acceleration/brake is on the left stick, steering on the
right (dualshock).
Now CMR 3 has it vice versa and no option to change that in the software
(unlike CMR 2).
Has someone figured out if its possible to change the wires, maybe smply
building an adapter to switch the axes?
(Think its too tough relearning axes)

You can't remap that in software somewhere?

you can remap it to different keys, but not the sticks, unfortunately. Any
ideas?
