When watching ICR on tv, I usually hear the annoucers yap all the time
about draft. What exactly is it.. is it implemented in ICR2 sim?

Selom:

Yes it is implemented on the Indycar2 simulation.  To experience it, go
to Michigan Speedway and run the computer cars at a setting close enough
to 100% that you run competitively yet still have a challenge passing
cars.  Run behind someone and "draft" in their slipstream.  When you
start getting closer to the car in front of you, you begin to accelerate
toward him.  You can often run as much as an extra 5mpg down the back
straightaway by drafting.  This is very useful for passing and
absolubtly necessary to pass w/ computer cars at 100%.  Happy Racing!!

Make that an extra 5mph.  I haven't seen anybody get an extra 5 miles per
gallon by drafting.:)

If you know the very basic in aerodynamics then its easy:)

A car behind another car has got less wind resistance because the
front car is sheltering the car behind, thus making it easier for the
engine to push the car and making it go faster, easier passing:)
