Andretti Racing - HELP!

I can't run the game. The program says to insert the CD even though it
is already in the CD-ROM. EA tech support has been of no help. Their
suggestion was to clean the CD.

I've never played andretti racing, so I don't know if it is dos or win95.
If it is win95, I can tell you that it takes probably 30 seconds for my
drive to start spinning after I insert a new CD.  If I try to run a program
before it recognizes the CD the program won't run.  You can start windows
explorer and highlight the CD-ROM driveletter.  When you can see the files
and folders appear on the right, the game should run.  Let me know if this
helps.

An excellent subject line, George!!

Except I would have added the word "NEEDS" between the hyphen and
"HELP!"

I got the game from EAs 2 for 1 offer and am glad it was free cause it's
not that great. I haven't had any problems with the CD though. Be
specific about your hardware maybe I or someone can help.

 Bruce,
thanks for the best belly laugh I've had in a long time. I was
laughing so hard my sweetie came in to see what was up! I too made the
mistake of trying Andretti Racing. It loaded fine. When I started
driving I realized the oval tracks turned the WRONG way. I deleted the
game withen about ten minutes. Did you notice that the default
controller is a gamepad? I guess that speaks volumes.
Thanks again for the sharp wit, all the best, Mike Davis

:-)
Thank you, Mike! Nothing like a good belly-laugh each day!
It sure is a dud of a game, that one.  I think Mario must have been
being tortured by his captors when he signed the form that OK'd the use
of his name.  Well, he's not going to get to many royalty cheques from
*that* product!

Cheers mate!
