Well I did finally get a reply from them after I posted this message. Must
have got there attention. However they didn't help me at all, and what's
really annoying is when I replied to what they had told me to do, the message
can't get through to the address it was send from. What's the good of a one
way E-mail message. What am I supposed to do send another message to
like Papyrus have a person in this newsgroup actively replying to messages in
here. Now that is good support. Rick Genter I think his name is. Anyway so
I am no further then I was before basicly. Thanx for your note:
And since EA didn't help I will ask anyone in here if they no how to solve my
problems.
1). My external modem (USR Courier) refuses to initialize with NFS. It goes
out to it cause I can see the lights on it flashing so it is trying but it
reports back, "Can't init modem". I have it set for Com2. I know I have the
right settings cause I run a BBS and all term programs, bbs programs, even
nascar and other modems games work fine with it. So modem play is totally
useless so far!
2). I have to play the game in Silence (boring) cause when I select SB Pro
(which I own) or SB it locks up my machine totally. Every other game works
fine with SB or SB Pro settings but this one. I think it might be something
to do with my Adaptec SCSI 1542B cause the LED on that card stays ON SOLID
when I choose SB, SB Pro, and go to test sound in the install or load the
game with TNFS SBPRO. And I KNOW I have no IRQ conflicts so don't bother
telling me that.. I have researched this totally. Everything else works fine
remember.
So all, you can see why i am annoyed. Playing this game with no damn sound,
and no modem play is very annoying!
