What
MORRE/baja Challenge, Inc., having several years of experience in race
promotion and television production has merged its concept of bringing
amateur race drivers, corporations, standardized spec race vehicles and
spectators in major sports stadiums to now include the television viewers.
We have been given the rare opportunity to convert our first racing event,
the baja Challenge to take place in Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, FL, to
the filming of a new televison pilot (the first TV show of a television
series) with a racing theme. A Florida based television production company,
an up and coming director out of Hollywood, CA, MORRE, a surprise guest
host, twenty Tampa Bay area residents and tens of thousands of fans will all
participate in the creation of this new, adrenaline fueled, action packed
insight into the world of motorsports racing.
Where
Rally RacerTM is this new television program. It is based on placing
ordinary people in an extraordinary environment, Where Fantasy Racing
Becomes RealityTM. This televison show has been inspired by MORRE's baja
Challenge racing event which was to bring back the stadium offroad truck
racing that took place throughout America in the late eighties and into the
early nineties. MORRE has agreed to merge the baja Challenge's form of
racing with European World Rally style vehicles, to produce a new form of
racing designed specifically for the Rally RacerTM television program. This
new form of racing is referred to as RallyGPTM and will utilize slightly
modified major automobile manufacturer's production vehicles to race on
multi-terrain race courses in and around America's major stadiums.
When
Twenty (20) Tampa Bay residents will be chosen to have their 15 minutes of
fame, getting there just a bit quicker than most. For one week they will
sleep, eat, live, learn, train and then compete in front of tens of
thousands of fans in the most adrenaline filled, action packed experience of
their lives. During this week each driver will be randomly matched to their
corporate race team owner and sponsor. Drivers are given their team colors,
uniforms and non-racing apparel to be worn on-camera at all times. NO
EXCEPTIONS. For seven days straight, each of the the drivers will go through
intensive mental, physical and emotional training and stress, all caught on
camera. Finally, on Saturday, March 24, 2001, they will compete in front of
tens of thousands of fans and millions of TV viewers. In the process, first-
through third-place winners will win $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500 respectively
and will guarantee their places in the TV series. The Corporate Team owners
will have earned their right of first refusal of the following: commercial
spot purchase during show, team ownership during the entire 26 episodes of
the TV series and cross promotions with the show.
How
MORRE has extended the rental of Tropicana Field to a full seven days to
accomodate the additional requirements for filming Rally RacerTM. Driver
lodging, meals, orientation, classroom and PC simulator training will take
place in the contracted hotel located in lovely downtown St. Petersburg, FL.
In-car, one-on-one training, qualifying and race day will take place within
Tropicana Field . Camera crews will be present throughout the entire week to
capture all of the action leading up to the race and on race day in front of
thousand of screaming fans.
who
Each of the twenty (20) Tampa Bay resident race drivers will be chosen and
notified on or before 12/31/00. All twenty (20) exclusive corporate race
teams must be contracted and paid prior to 1/10/01. Rally RacerTM will be
presented at the National Association of Television Programming Executives
(NATPE) convention in Las Vegas, NV, 1/23-25/01. Filming will begin 3/19/01
and will continue through 3/25/01. March 24, 2001 is the event date and race
day open to the general public. Rally RacerTM is scheduled to air within
thirty days of post production completion of the TV pilot. The Network
television debut will begin following the pilot broadcast.
why
Rally RacerTM is designed to take place in twelve major TV markets
throughout America, creating twenty-four one-hour episodes, followed by one
one-hour episode covering the series' semi-finals and one two-hour live
season finale where each of the finalists will race for a purse valued at
$1,750,000 and many other prizes and gifts.
