Looking for setups in wrong places?

by Shane Down » Sat, 21 Sep 1996 04:00:00

I have checked out sites for info on setups for my car.  I only have
original Nascar and trackpack.  But that book they give you as a guide
helps but not enough for my rough tear and wear on the car.  Most tracks
especially on the superspeedways like Michigan and Talledaga I am 20 mph
off the lead man.  I don't know if I have restrictor plates on or not.  I
didn't know until yesterday when reading this newsgroup for the first
time that it was even an option.  I would be interested in knowing how to
do this properly.  (kind of a step be step deal would be nice).

Anyhow I have checked ivga.com and papyrus and another one with a bunch
of links.  I see alot about Nascar 2.  NO setups on any game though.

I tried downloading Nascar 2 demo at the papyrus site but was unable to
get it to link or something.  Is it any good?  Is it comparable or better
than Nascar.  Is there anyway to update my current game to give it a 1996
schedule with cars from this current racing season or last years.  The
1994 schedule it comes with has names of drivers I don't know.  I hadn't
gotten into racing really heavy until the end of last season.  So I don't
even know what this big hype is about Ernie and a crash?

Thanks If you can help.  If not thanks for reading

Thanks for the compliment, Trevor. BTW, the correct URL for the setup guide is:
