Hi guys,

Having just bought myself a 1964 Mini Cooper 'S to go historic racing with -
I'm in dying need of some good mechanics tools in inches...  I've found a
nice set of Craftsman tools at Sears, but unfortunatly they wont ship or
sell goods outside N.America.  So my question is as follows....

Is there a kind and honest soul out there who could help me buy a set of
tools and ship them to me?
I would ofcourse advance you the money and pay any expeces....  I might even
throw in a few beers too (or send you some *real* ones :o)

The reason I ask such a thing in public is because should anything go
wrong - I can atleast enjoy flaming, blaming  and bashing the hell out of
whoever nicks my money - and know that others know i'm telling the truth :o)

I would also appreciate if [any] volunteers replied [on r.a.s] swiftly as
the set I want is a "limited offer".

Ed, you should have posted this three weeks ago. Returned from the US
last week, and all I brought back was tons of dvd's, clothes and
climbing gear. Could probably have fit some tools in there
aswell. Anyway, the CART race was cancelled so it was a bit of a
bummer... There's always Le Mans i guess :-)

You could also try if these will ship to Norway - can't see any reason why
not !

http://www.halfords.com/ourproducts.asp?root=1&id=11#11 AF sets is what you
want

http://www.machinemart.co.uk call  +44 (0)115 956 5555.for shipping costs

I've used both in the past, I'm not connected with either.

There are lots of on-line tools companies in the UK and shipping to Norway
shuoldn't be a lot more expensive than UK/Ireland shipping.

Cheers

Peter

Hey Ed,

Shoot me an e-mail at work so we can discuss this a little more.
The company I work for ships to the UK quite a bit, so no problems there.
The e-mail address is DaveA at ASLgroup.com

I plan to make a run to Sears this weekend anyway, so the proverbial, "kill
two birds with one stone" somewhat applies.

Things to think about..

Would you rather use UPS, FedEx, or a company like BAX Global?
We use FedEx mostly since our deal with them is pretty good compared to the
others.
Another thing to consider is import duty.
I do not know how much the duty will be but, doing some more local searching
may save money in the long run.

Let me know

Dave or KnektR when I get a chance to race on RASCAR (which isn't very often
anymore).

I just forgot to add a few things,

I need to transfere the money via Paypal so who ever does "the job"  need a
Paypal account.

I was also hoping to send the goods via USPS (i.e the postal service) as
Fedex or other courier services are to expensive i think...  (a 25-30 lb.
package is expensive to send...)  I also need some help "disquesing" (sp)
the package as a bithday or christmas gift in order to avoid paying taxes
for it...

Dave, Dan or Tim are you guys still up for it?

The tools i need means I'll probably go for one of these sets;
http://makeashorterlink.com/?J14C15096
 - although I have not quite made up my mind yet...  Suggestions of helpful
advices accpted with thanks! :)

Yes I did, I was convinced Subaru hadn't got the measure of the French
cars so I figured any Suby championship would wait til they sorted out
their new car....Sheesh...who knew the Poohjoes would get crashitice
disease? Or Citroen would chicken out to guarentee the Manufactuers title?

Hey Ed,

I just got back from a business trip and haven't been able to keep up with
this while I was traveling, sorry.
Have you found someone to help or are you still looking?

I can do it, no problem, birthday wrapping and all.
I have a girl that makes a run to the post office everyday for me at work,
so USPS is possible.

Let me know.

Dave
