Hi!

Apologies if this has been covered in the past.  I was wondering if
anyone knows of a fix for the problem with the CC cars on the converted
Indianapolis track, whereby they don't use the warm-up lane when they
exit the pits.  It's really annoying to be lining up an inside pass into
turn one and have some 'joker' pull straight out onto the track at low
speed right in front of you.

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe this was a problem with the
original version of Gerhard's track converter, and if I remember
correctly, the cars do use the warm-up lane when the track is converted
for NASCAR 1, so it seems a little strange that they don't in IndyCar 2,
and it kind of spoils the experience of racing at Indy.

Also, if anyone could let me know the URL of Gerhard's website, I'd be
grateful.

There is a simple little fix.

Copy the PIT.LP file from the converted N1 Indy to the ICR indy and
they'll stop doing it. The PIT.LP file defines the line the AI take
when making a pit stop.

I did know it but lost my bookmarks file. To be honest I haven't heard
from Gerhard in nearly 8 months so I don't know if it's still there.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work.  I tried
it twice in case I got it wrong, but the Indycars still ignore the warm-
up lane and go trundling out onto the racing line.  I also tried copying
all the NASCAR .lp files for Indy into the ICR2 Indy directory, but it
still didn't work.  I ran NASCAR again just to check that the cars did
use the warm-up lane in that sim, and they do.  It's a bit of a mystery
why the Indycars don't.

BTW, great to have you back at 'The Pits' these days!
