I used to have an America's cup sailing game for my old old C-64.
You cranked the joystick in circles to raise and lower sails.  I would
never abuse my price TM sticks like that now-a-days...

Sounds like fun actaully tho every sailing game I ever played was very
boring compared to really being sailing, where at least the car games and
flying games get your heart pumping a bit.  I wonder how you would get the
feel of being on a 5o5 in 30 knot winds and 4 foot chop in a pc,  if you
can do that I am deifinitely a player.

505s... oh, don't get me started.  Been a long time since I had one of
those and I still get a big grin thinking about it.

Well I passed my first water skier on a 5o5 going downwind with the
spinnaker up.  It shocked the guy so bad he did a belly flop and three
bounces ont he water before he let go of the ski line, and then we almost
deathrolled the 5o5 we were laughing so hard.  they are great boats really
fast, but unstable as all get out.

Until ,you've sailed aboard an "Eigh*** Footer" on Sydney Harbour in a
southerly buster you have NOT experienced skiff sailing!!!!!!

Well at least in a 5o5 someone is actaully in the boat.  those 18' skiffs
are wild with the fact everyone is trapped out and on the wings.

Very true. When I was playing the racing game on www.americascup.org,
although graphically pleasing, i never got too motivated.

We won't even get started on boats like "Goss Challenger" and Fossett's
"PlayStation"...
