Some DASCAR Information!!

We here at DASCAR are going to be treating the racing in our
league very seriously and professioanlly.  We might ask more of
you than other league.  But we are doing this to insure we put on
the best possible show.  There are many other leagues you can
race and we link to them at the DASCAR home page. www.ivga.com
DASCAR will not be a slam, crash, bang league.  You wreck
people more often than the others drivers want, your history.  Just
like in real racing.

We have a great responsiblilty to our sponsors and the racers so
that is why we have such requirements.  We have a system that has
worked for over 2 years.

First off we are running late on the membership to DASCAR, but
we have a ton of stuff to pre-pare.  The race procedure is being
worked on.  We do plan to follow the guidelines of IMCA racing.

http://www.racesimcentral.net/; I would go to this page and read about
the way they conduct their races for Late Model, Stocks, and
Hobby Stocks.  We have added a Figure 8 class.

Here are some of the rules that we have and we are letting you
know now so you can start planning your 2000 racing season.

1).    All Racing Will be Done on KALI.  We dont get anything from
Kali, it just gives us the controls we need to run a race.  There is no
other internet resources at this time that will allow us to admin races.

2).    Age 16 , We have the same rules as IMCA.  There are other
leagues where Juniors can race.

3).    Zero Tolerance for Non-Sense,  Any Abuse of officials, others in the
room or Cheating will be dealt with immediately.  Anyone that has
raced under the supervision of Jim Ratcliff knows that he is the man
that controls the races.

4). Let me also state that drivers will have to demonstate that they
have a good connection.  No AOL users will be allowed to
race.  Drivers using netzero & Alta vista free will not be
allowed to race.  These servers are lag city.  Drivers from
Australia and Europe may not as well be able to race.  It
only takes one drivers in a race with a 1000 ping to***
it up for all the drivers.  And even if you have a good connection
99% of the time.  If you show up and you have internet
connection problem that night as we can monitor your connection
you might be asked not to race.  We have to think of the show
first.

We have looked at Gamespy Lite and it simply doesnt provide any
tools in the area of Racers ID, kick, boot and ban, the IP's of the
race servers would be public and I can go on and on.

We are looking forward to a great first season of racing at the DASCAR.

Another point is that you will be allowed to race based on good and
clean driving. If you dont know how to race or pass cleanly than the
others drivers wont tolerate this.  Applying for membership in the
DASCAR is not guarantee that you will be accepted.  We have
minium requirements in addition such as lap speeds.  The DASCAR
leagues as great prizes and most likely over 90% of the drivers will
be real drivers from the Worlds of Dirt Racing.

Like we said there are alot of other leagues.

Thanks

Don Wilshe & DASCAR Partnership..

PS.    We expect the total value of prizes from our sponsors to exceed
$20,000, But we will try our best to get at least $50,000 for the racers
in prizes..  Sorry no cash...

PSS..  DTR in EUROPE

DASCAR has been contacted by a firm in Europe and they are
going to host up some dedicated servers for DTR.  I will let
Pekka Heino, The Flyin Finn tell you more about this when he
can.  This will certainly help out the drivers in Europe.  Now I
just pinged Finland with my new Road Runner Cable service
and I was 196ms.  I might be able to race there, as they
might be able to race in USA.  But we do have to look at not
only Ping, but any packet loss, etc..
