Is there a way to reset the lap records for qualifying and races? I
would like to have just the best times that me and my family can get
on the tracks. There is no way any of us will beat the real records!

You can - I think it's in the Options/Advanced Options menu (easy to get
lost in...) - It says Reset Fastest Laps or something quite intuitive
like that :)

I saw that option, but that resets to the defaults(which is the real
drivers records which we will never beat). I want them Blanked so that
the fastest lap will be one of us.

I thought that that rest that is so easy to find deos not do what is asked by
the original append. It resest the record to the original real records, rather than
zeroing them which is what was asked :)))

This won't help his problem but! What that resets is the ORIGINAL TIMES which
are extremely hard to beat if you are just starting out! There is a site that
has some cool utilities sucha as changing the length of a quick race and a JAM
to BMP convertor for designing your own car decos. One of the GP2UTIL
collection has a program that will reset the lap times to what ever you want.
The author suggests 2 minutes or what ever. He also washes his hands if the
program does more than wanted and suggestes you backup your files or keep the
original disk handy!
