Demolish 'em Demo?

Is there such a thing, and if so, where?

Is the release date really Oct. 27?

chortled:

The demo is on the disk that comes with the UK Playstation, don't know about
foreign. The game was released yesterday in the Uk and it is a right blast.

The BEST thing about the PS is not having to worry about configuration, frame
rates and memory. EVERYTHING just runs silky smooth straight out of the box.
Any of you waiting for the PC version of this should know what to expect - cut
down low res graphics and a chug a bug frame rate. Sorry, but when a 300 ukp
console outperforms my P100 by a MASSIVE margin, I know the PC is not going to
be an action games platform of any significance for a long time to come.

I'll still keep it around for F1GP2 tho.....

Now, if only I could get Papyrus to produce a version of NASCAR using the
Destruction Derby engine.....

Demolish 'em Demo?

Personally speaking, I tried Demolition Derby on the Playstation in our
local store and I thought it was the biggest load of mince I had seen
for ages. Graphics are really nifty (except for the driver and interior
of the car being "painted" onto the rear window!) with the crumpled
cars looking really good. Unfortunately it plays like a dog, no feeling
of control, impossible to drift the car or get any feeling of realistic
driving. Even NFS is much better.

These problems are probably related as much to the digital joystick the
PS uses so maybe the PC version will be better (I hope). Also the PC
version should have a network link-up and, if it supports the C-Labs or
Diamond graphics chips, should wipe the floor with the PS version
graphically. I think I'll stick with my PC for now (I mean, you can't
play F1GP2 on a Playstation can you (he drooled!)).

Cheers!
John
