Read it on the Flemish league forum at work. DL'd onto an USB stick and have
just done a couple of exploratory miles.

First impression: GPL how it should have been all along. Somebody fix those
wretched '67 tyres!

Great.  I'll try it.  Very ugly cars in 1969 though !!

Don't agree, I actually think the low wing varients are pretty cool,
and those big tires on all of them sure are welcome!

Quite strange to look at, but the way they were implemented at the beginning
of the season, one doesn't need stiffer springs to accommodate the download
and we don't need to worry about the darn things collapsing. A win-win
situation. <vbg>

Hi all --

just downloaded the 1969 set and the update GEM.

when I attempt to setup the 69 carset i get the following message ---

"Unexpected error       Please check file access permissions    The
installation will be terminated"

Does anyone know what i need to do or how to make the needed
adjustment for an install?

Should I download the 69 set again?

Assistance appreciated.

Doug

Perhaps some files in the current GPL install are read only?  Often
the case when you restored an install from a CD.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info --------

However, it seemed to be in the download, so just for fun and giggles,
I decided to download the entire set --------- again.  Time consuming,
yes, but I wanted to make sure i was on "level ground" before I
started digging around in the other things.

Turned out ------------ it WAS the previous download, and the third
download went in and works like a "Champ"

This could be the answer to some problems -- not sure, but it sure
worked for me.

Just for the information to the masses.

take care everyone,

Doug
