way way OT/ NERO ?

Anyone who's using NERO between running laps, can you remove tracks from
selections with it.  Like take just the guitar track, voice out of a track.
I was looking at 5.5 and wasn't sure about it.

Thanks

I have Nero 5.5 and if I understand your question, in short I think the
answer is no.
I would think you'd need some pretty clever software to filter out the
unwanted sounds, unless of course the guitar is recorded onto a separate
channel than the voice.

If you mean can you take a CD with say 14 tracks and drop track 6, then yes
you can.

I thought you could do Karaoke style recordings with it.
Guess that would be nifty eh!

Thanks

with soundforge you can maybe get the vocals out by phase cancellation and
only if the vocals are strictly center panned.  then yr still going to get
what other instruments or sounds are in the middle and with the same freq.
if you really want to know more......

You can actually, it has a filter set which is supposed to remove the
vocals out of a song. Haven't tried it myself though.
