The first months after I bought F1RS everything went well, but then at once
the framerate dramatically decreased. At some parts of the Monaco track the
framerate won't come higher then 3 fr/s, where it used to be at least
approx. 20 fr/s.

This trouble started after patching the game several times and installing
some demos and upgrading my graphic driver.

My system is:

-AMD K6 233 MMX
-64 SDRAM
-Viper 330 4 MB PCI

I uninstalled all the demos and I reinstalled F1RS but it didn't help. I
think the problem might be that there are some dll's which were installed by
some demo or something and which were not deleted at uninstalling the demos.

Can someone help me getting back the old framerate? Does someone know the
problem? Please let me know.

Try downloading this program "Clean System Directory"
I think you can get it at: http://www.racesimcentral.net/

This program will detect unused DLL's and you can remove them

   I formatted the drive, recovered from tape, and the problem went
away.  

   I thought Office 97 caused it, but now I think it's just the
accumulated damage from having Win95 crash every other day.  

   Someone in the Solaris group suggests NT needs to have
scheduled boots, to clear things up, and this is behavior is it's
way of automating this task.  Perhaps WIN95 also has this feature.  

   Hey Ubi, can you port F1RS to Unix?
