Ok, I've tried to figure this out with the most patience I can muster but
still haven't mastered the MULTI drivers lists for modem racing with a
friend.

MY MULTI LIST:

My Car in Spot #1 with My Name & #
His Car in Spot #2 with His Name & #

The problems begin with trying to set up my friend's list.  My PC is the
host and he's calling into me.  If anyone could graciously solve this
enigma I would greatly appreciate it.  I have read through the previous
postings and was not able to locate a solution.  Thanks in advance..... oh
yeah, if anyone needs Indy or Daytona for N2, let me know.

If you have the latest patch like I do, theres nothing you can do. When
you connect, the computer gives you your own car and he gets his own
too.  The problem is that you both race a "ghost" of yourselves.  

I probably told you something you already knew or just plainly confused
ya.  If you do get a "fix" for this, it would be greatly appreciated if
you let me know.

Can you also please e-mail me Daytona and Indy also.

With the V1.03 patch, you should set the car you're driving to use
something other than the T_PLAYER.CAR car file.  Then make sure all players
have a copy of the customized car files.  If you do that, you should be
able to see what you expect (you drive your car, opponent drives theirs, on
all machines in the race).

If you're using T_PLAYER.CAR, you'll see what you've described-
