Sorry to bore you with another "my first <insert GPL experience>
in GPL" post but I couldn't contain myself and by posting here
I at least feel as though someone is listening :)

I just tried to qualify the eagle at Spa with the default
setup, for the first time (having never driven the eagle
before).

Incredibly, I grabbed pole with my first lap - 1:24.14 -
4 tenths in front of Jim Clark.

All the more amazing since I had 3 glasses of red wine after
work today. Now I'm off to embarrass myself in the race, but
at least I've had what's probably my first genuinely
satisfying GPL experience.

First of all, yes clearly I meant *3*:14, not 1:14. Sorry
about that :)

And it was the first time driving an eagle at Spa. Usually
I drive the Ferrari but I just thought I'd havea change. It
was my first hot lap in the Eagle at Spa - bearing in mind
I've driven _almost_ exclusively at Spa since getting GPL
about 4 months ago.

Well, I've got no time to sit here flapping my lips - I've
got some serious driving to do. No doubt you _will_ hear
about my next "Golden GPL Moment (tm)".
