There is a review and some screenshots posted at

The game is nothing to write home about.

IRL Indy Racing: any good?

Just picked up IRL yesterday.  Ran home and installed it.  All I can say at
this point is that even with crash damage on, you can run into the wall at
Indy going 230MPH, bounce off, hit the inside wall head on (still at a high
rate of speed), then straighten the car out and continue.  If other cars hit
you, they can continue, unscathed, also.  The model is weird in that the
front wheels are really close together.  I haven't gotten to the point to
tell how the AI is but I can say that it is much better than MS CPR.  The
sound is so-so.  Better than ICR2 but not as good as CPR.  The feel of the
car is probably how as IRL car should be, especially when compared with CPR.
The car spins easily if you lift off the throttle suddenly.  One problem I
think is that when you let of the throttle, the car slows down really quick.
Like from 230 to 130 inabout 1 second (without the brakes being applied).

The game installed easily with no problems.  I am running a P233MMX, 64 MB
RAM, Diamond Viper 330 video card, 24X CDROM.  The game runs smoothly with
all graphics turned on.

Sorta like the real IRL -- crash hard, the driver is paralyzed or has a broken
back, but all you have to do is bolt a new rear wing on the car and put
another sucker in the driver's seat...

I bought this game and returned it the same day. Not a sim at all, and
the graphics are
sub-par.
Exchanged it for Andretti Racing, much better game although you don't
get to race at Indy.
