Does anyone have any frame rate comparisons between running
GP2 on a Pentium 200 vs a Pentium Pro 200?  Is it true that
16 bit applications aren't any faster on a Pro?  This is
probably an old question but I would appreciater any help or
any addresses to web pages that can help me figure this out!

Thanks,
Manny

While it's true that PPro's aren't much faster than regular Pentiums at
16-bit applications, most games have been 32-bit for some time.

Yep 16bit apps are not very fast at all on a PentPRO.

The wise man can pick up a grain of sand and envision a whole universe,
but the stupid man will just lay down on some seaweed and roll around
until he's completely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go, "Hey,
I'm Vine Man." Jack Handey.

However...The sims we are discussing here are 32 bit apps running
in a 32 bit (flat memory model) environment called DOS4GW.  Get
the PPRO.

This is rather misleading. 16-bit stuff is about the same speed on both
pentiums and pentium pros. Also, most recent software, both DOS and
Win95, is mostly 32-bit so the pro is faster.
