I am NOT paranoid. And why are you always watching me?!?
But here's my problem: my SB version of the game doesn't work
anymore. I have two legit copies of Indy 500 but neither work with
the Sound Blaster. So I can't play the game. If you know where the
patch is, e-mail me please
thanks.

And is there any way around the ridiculous quiz you have to take
before you can play it? Wasn't a very good idea to deal with piracy-
people can just photocopy the manual, and anyway, half the time I
can't find mine or don't feel like looking anything up and abort the
game.

>How'd you get to 235? My best was only about 232.xx...
Choose the red car, the one with the old fashioned analogue dials. It revs
to 9000rpm (I think. Definitely red though.)
Use mouse control. Digital stick means massive understeer on the corners.
Set the wing so that you have one unit downforce on the front. None on the rear.
This is for qualifying. Increase each 1 unit for race. Looks silly. Goes FAST.
Tyre pressure should be approx 24 psi on left 25/26 on right. (When hot).
Medium tyres on right, soft on left. Camber/Stagger? set to max (1inch i think)
Press 9 to set the boost to maximum. If you have 5 gals in, leave it at 3
for the first 2 laps (prior to fast qualify). Otherwise your engine will blow.
Or you will run out of fuel.
Set the gears so that it overrevs from 9000rpm to (IIRC) 12000 rpm on the
long straight.
You should hit 245+ on the end of the long straight.
Reducing the gearing (max 11000rpm) should see you okay to wipe the floor
with the competition on the short race. Anything else will probably kill the
engine...
Don't clip the corners too tight, otherwise you will scrub off too much speed.
Leave it running flat out all the time (except accidents. Unless you are mad).
Now, give it some welly...
