The Logitech MOMO works with the PS2. It's gear driven, I'm told, but it
does have ball bearing shaft support. I think part of the problem with PS2
force feedback quality at this point is more a product of poor
implementation by the developers. The feedback forces are token and do not
adequately convey simulation driving forces on the scale of GPL or NASCAR 4.
They'll get better with time on this, but that still won't answer your
problem with what I call a "gritty" feel to the Driving Force/GT/GP.
