PS2: need better wheel suggestion

I'm using Logitech Driving Force FF to play GT3 and F1 2001.  Is there anything
better than that.  It is not very smooth and feels tacky at times.

Or is it possible to add ball bearings to it?

The Logitech MOMO works with the PS2.  It's gear driven, I'm told, but it
does have ball bearing shaft support.  I think part of the problem with PS2
force feedback quality at this point is more a product of poor
implementation by the developers.  The feedback forces are token and do not
adequately convey simulation driving forces on the scale of GPL or NASCAR 4.
They'll get better with time on this, but that still won't answer your
problem with what I call a "gritty" feel to the Driving Force/GT/GP.
