Hey Franck! ICR2 lives

There is a group of fellows patching N3 to run the ICR2 carbodies.  Make
NO mistake, this is NOT ICR2, but with a FSAA video card, the old 95 chassis
looks really really clean.  They have received permission to use the new
Reynard body 3d shape that was made a year or so ago.  They expect to get
the new paintjobs on the new carshape in about a month.   So far they have
the 1995 carset and the 2001 carset with the old original body.
Some track txt changes may get more speed out of the cars, but they are
definately not even up to IRL speeds.

Too bad Papy had locked down the physics engine for the cars.

:-(

Thankfully, MGI is reportedly going to be releasing a track editor's
toolkit for NASCAR Heat shortly, so we may see CART tracks in NASCAR
Heat soon!

;-)

Thanks for the heads-up on the N4 stuff, though!

John a track editor will be awesome. With the guys from High Compression
working on a Modified car set, then a track editor... Well I know a bunch of
people in the NE who will be really happy.

Locked down?   They may not have published all the parameters, but I'd
hardly call it locked down.

BTW the Papy product being refereed to is N3, not N4.

True -- N3 isn't what I would call "locked down" . . . I was indeed
thinking more of the GPL/N4 game engine.

I guess I should warn everyone...if you peek at this N3  repeat N3
patch...make sure it is on a fresh install, that is if you run an N3 league
or something...better safe than sorry.  And ..some of the TPTCC/PORRS guys
are tweaking the handling...a version of N3 patched to tptcc then patched to
ICR4N3 is supposedly faster...but still not up to accurate speeds.

It just dawned on me that this N3-based version of ICR2 may well be
the rough equivalent to Crammond's GP2.5, er, I mean GP3.
